The first time I met Alberto at a summer school back in 1994; a smart, open-hearted, humorous and knowledgeable young man. It is so sad that he had to leave this world so early! My sincere condolences to his family and his close friends!
Alberto, today it's Labour day. You would have certainly commented that that was not intended for us, so let's do some work. I will miss this unassuming attitude. And I will miss your sharpness. Your unassuming but sharp mathematics. Your unassuming but sharp morality. Your unassuming but sharp smile. Your warm humanity.
